Easter Celebration at Exodus Slavic Church, Toronto

CANADA. On Sunday, April 16th, 2017, believers at Exodus Slavic Church in Toronto (a new church plant founded by the Turlacs and another Russian-speaking family) celebrated the glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ. According to the Bible, our Lord and Saviour was raised from the dead by God the Father on the third day after He was crucified and took our sins upon the cross of Calvary.

After the time of praise and worship, all children heard the story of Easter during Children's Moment. Easter message was on "The Meaning of Christ's Resurrection for our Faith" based upon 1 Corinthians 15:12-20. After the worship service, adults and children had Easter dinner together.

Ministry to Families with Children with Autism in Moldova

MOLDOVA. Easter season is a great time for helping people in need and reaching out to families that have children with disabilities. Vitali and Olga were busy during the Easter weekend providing help to families with children with mental impairment. Roman's Touch project started by Turlac Mission, aims to help children with ASD and developmental disorders and their families with needs that they have. We provide funding so that children are able to attend therapy sessions to learn skills for life. We supply food for families that cannot support themselves. We provide materials for therapists and centers for study of Autism that are being established in the former USSR. You can help children with ASD and their families by making an on-line donation to Roman's Touch project here.

Reaching Teens-at-risk of Trafficking through Cooking School in Moldova

MOLDOVA. Human trafficking is one of the greatest plagues of 21st century. After the collapse of the USSR, thousands of women and teenage girls have been trafficked to Europe and Middle East for prostitution, forced labor and organ harvesting. Moldova became one of the prime targets of traffickers with estimated number of 100,000 women trafficked out of the country since 1990. We at Turlac Mission wish to reach out to teen girls-at-risk of trafficking and help women - victims of human trafficking (and their children) that struggle to return to normal life.

Cooking school in Beltsy, Northern Moldova established in partnership with local Baptist church, aims to teach out to teen girls and teen them cooking skills, which will help them in life and will provide for them means of supporting themselves. We provide support for Christian women that teach girls and serve as good role models for them. With your help, we were able to provide necessary cooking equipment or the school. Please, continue to support his important ministry in your prayers. If you would like to support anti-trafficking work in Moldova, you can make an on-line donation here.
